A name with a story already inside it.

Stella Placidia takes its inspiration from Ravenna and one of its most captivating places: the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, with its deep blue sky scattered with golden stars.

That imagery flows into the apartment through colours, geometry and references to the mosaics, reinterpreted in a contemporary way. It is more than decoration: it is the thread that gives the rooms their character and connects Stella Placidia to the city.

Stella Placidia is newly created: rooms, furnishings and amenities are all new, individually chosen to give the apartment a contemporary character of its own.

The story behind the name

Why Stella Placidia

The name comes from the deep blue, star-filled sky of the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia. Its colours, geometry and mosaic light inspired details throughout the apartment, creating a subtle connection with Ravenna without turning the interiors into a literal historical imitation.

Stella Placidia is located in a quiet, well-served residential area, just a short walk from Ravenna’s historic heart.

Nearby you’ll find restaurants and traditional trattorias where you can discover Romagna cuisine, as well as bars, cafés, shops and well-stocked supermarkets, convenient for picking up anything you need and enjoying the apartment with the freedom of feeling at home.

The historic centre and Ravenna’s main UNESCO monuments are within easy walking distance: you can leave your car in Stella Placidia’s free private parking and enjoy Ravenna on foot, among mosaics, historic streets, independent shops and local cafés.
